These aquatints were made at the Peacock Visual Arts print-shops in Aberdeen, as part of a one-month residency on the RSA Residencies for Scotland program.
The point of reference for the work was a construction site which was situated along my daily walk to the studio. Through photographs, I recorded the transformation of the site, documenting the process of demolition of the existing structure, and the gradual construction of the new one. In the studio, I played with the features and objects from the site to create my own structures, juxtaposing various elements of this vocabulary to build new, open-ended statements.
